I am a junior in English Education at Iowa State University.
Experience
I taught English at a language school in Beijing, China for the summer of 2012. My ACT score for Language Arts was 31 with a 27 overall score. The reason I want to become a tutor is to be a resource for students to reach the full potential of their learning. I also want to improve my teaching skills through one on one interaction. In regards to English courses, I have taken English 150, English 250, Public Speaking, and multiple Grammar, Writing, Literature, and Linguistics courses. As an incoming freshman to Iowa State University, I was awarded the Hixson Opportunity Awards Scholarship and received scholarships for being a percussion major and taking piano lessons.
